The Great Big Green Week

To close The Great Big Green Week, on Sunday 26th September at 3:30 pm, The City Retreat, The Race Equality Centre and Leicester Friends of the Earth are working together to host an event.

‘Community Responses to Climate Change’ at The City Retreat will bring together different communities in Leicester to share thoughts on climate change and discuss practical actions that everyone can take. There will be speakers from all the major faiths in the city relating the teachings of their faith to our responsibility to the planet, as well as environmental groups advising how we in Leicester can make a difference.

Attendees will be invited to make a climate pledge with Leicester Friends of the Earth, plant spring bulbs to take home as well as planting in the courtyard. We will also be trying plant-based food to encourage eating less meat thereby reducing our carbon footprint.
